We are very enthusiastic about supporting local causes and going back to our grassroots and gives us great satisfaction seeing our sponsorship fostering local talent. Porth Harlequins RFC has a long and honourable history having been established in 1934. Since then the Club has widened its horizons and has become an integral part of the sporting and community life in the Valleys.

At BECT we acknowledge the important role that sport plays in the well-being of our communities and workforce – cultivating a team mentality, and helping to shape healthy and positive behavioural traits, are invaluable life skills. Here at BECT, we recognise how crucial it is for people to engage in regular activity; it’s not only critical for their physical fitness but it’s excellent for maintaining mental well-being. Well-being lies very much at the heart of our core values, which we actively champion both internally within our own workforce, as well as externally within the wider community.

The people who manage and endorse clubs such as Porth Harlequins RFC deserve all the help and recognition possible for all the great work that they do.  Many of our employees often recite how eternally grateful they are for the support they have had from various rugby clubs over the years.

Sponsoring Porth is only a small part of BECT’s overall objective to support charitable and community initiatives, so watch this space for future schemes.
