Form of Contract: JCT Design and Build 2016
This city centre project comprised the design and construction of a 75,000 sq.ft. six-storey Category A office block. On completion, the building incorporated a reinforced concrete frame externally clad with composite cladding panels, aluminium windows, curtain walling and structural glazing. In addition, there is secure parking for 31 vehicles located to the rear of the building and a ten bay cycle shelter located near to the main entrance. The building forms an "L" shape with a central service core containing three passenger lifts, male, female and disabled WC's.
The floor plates are designed to be flexible and capable of the subdivision of the central core. Other key design considerations include good floor to ceiling height, excellent use of natural light and making the most of the excellent views across the city.
