Project Summary
This Victorian landmark was built in the late 19th century and covers 110 acres of green and blue space, providing a tranquil haven within the busy capital of Wales.
Located in North Cardiff, this recently launched visitor destination opened its doors in the summer of 2023. The Lisvane and Llanishen Reservoirs serve as a centre for promoting health, wellness, water-based activities, and biodiversity.
The two-storey visitor centre offers spectacular views across the reservoirs and incorporates features to improve its green credentials and reduce its carbon footprint. This includes a large solar photovoltaic (PV) installation on the roof, a sustainable drainage system with underground drainage space, and a rain garden to attenuate and filter rainwater.
