Ward B2 - University Hospital of Wales; complete refurbishment of the ward including decoration, flooring, minor building works and fire alam works - Value £300k

Fusion 75,000 sq.ft internal area over 6 storey’s and specified to Grade A standard. There is secure car parking for 31 vehicles located to the rear of the building and a ten-bay cycle shelter located near to the main entrance.  The building forms an ‘L’ shape with a central service core containing three passenger lifts, male, female and  disabled WC’s – Value £8m

The construction of four new light industrial / workshop buildings for Robert Fiddes (private client).  The works involved the demolition of an existing building, Brindley House, along with general site clearance works. The building is founded on steel piles and ground beams with a suspended power floated slab throughout. The main buildings include a structural steel portal frame to the front area and with an additional monopitch lean-to at the rear providing supplementary storage – Value £400k

FIRS Laboratory Extension consisted of structural steel frame, traditional external cavity walls with aluminium windows and doors and pitched slated roof. Internally the works incorporate blockwork partitions, suspended ceilings, standard mechanical and electrical systems and vinyl floor finishes. Externally the works will comprise extensive site drainage including attenuation and headwall for discharge into an adjacent watercourse, retaining walls, perimeter access road and soft and hard landscaping. The perimeter access road will incorporate new additional parking bays and pathways for the site – Value £1.m

Coleg Gwent Block A;  Working within the confines Coleg Gwent’s Usk Campus – the Remodelling and refurbishment of Block A (approx. 500m2 gross internal area) to a dining and café facility with classrooms and offices above – Value £980k

Bridgewater Premier Inn; As part of the Whitbread Framework, BECT has recently completed the new 20 bed extension on the Bridgewater Premier Inn. The works principally involve the extension with direct link to existing building, creating additional bedroom and linen facilities for the existing premises – Value £1.1m

The Velindre Cancer Centre refurbishment project involves extensive works to the male and female wards as well as the works within the existing central areas.  The full renovation of the wards involves new patient areas, en-suite bathrooms, ward kitchen and administration offices - Value £900K 

Refurbishment of Cardiff Universities’ largest lecture Theatres LT1 and LT2 into two separate learning spaces with storage beneath a mezzanine floor and providing office space and accommodation in the area previously known as “The Hatch Area” located at the Medical School, University Hospital of Wales – Value £2m

St Patricks House Redevelopment/Refurbishment Cardiff; refurbishment of existing 5 storey building in the heart of Cardiff City Centre - Value £2.6m

House of Sport 3 (Cardiff Limited); construction of steel portal framed indoor sporting facility with associated drainage and eternal works - Value £1.2m

University Hospital of Wales Ward B7 and C3 refurbishment; all works were carried out whilst the surrounding areas were still in existing use – Value £1.65m

University Hospital of Wales Health/Llandough; complete refurbishment of the endoscopy unit at the Heath Hospital, negotiation of Endoscopy unit Llandough followed by the successful completion of the Heath - Value £600,000 in total

Mercure Hotel Cardiff; New build 100 bed hotel near Cardiff City Centre - Value £1.8m

Open University; BECT were commissioned to build 2 new office blocks for the Open University - Value £2.6m
